If you're looking for a welcoming, friendly beginners class then look no further. We'll start each class with some gentle warm-ups, specifically chosen to help you to grasp some of the basic principles of Tai Chi. You will then be guided through a simple Qigong routine. Qigong encourages good health by promoting the flow of our natural energy or Chi, it connects us with our breath and allows us to relax deeply. Midway through the class we sit for a short guided relaxation, an opportunity to clear your mind and engage with your body and breath (and hopefully not fall asleep!) After some gentle encouragement to find your feet, we'll take a look at the 8 Posture Tai Chi Form. This is a short an accessible beginners form (sequence of movements) which will allow you to begin to understand the fundamental principles of Tai Chi. Learning Tai Chi is a challenge, even for the most coordinated of us, but we aim to make your learning enjoyable and enriching. We will all be working within our own limitations, without judgement or expectation. You will need to book to attend this session, payment can be made at time of booking or in person before the class.
